Wenet – a sustainable energy network

Wenet network brings together companies and operators that specialize in the production of sustainable energy in Eastern Finland.

North Karelia exports its expertise in wood energy and products to the world’s market through the Wenet network, which began operations in 2004. Wenet has now expanded to cover the entire Eastern Finland and all sources of sustainable energy. Wenet Centre, which will be launched as a cross-provincial joint project, aims at establishing an extensive export network.

The objective of the project is to establish a network that is based on the strengths of the various companies and operators in Eastern Finland offering turn-key solutions in the field of sustainable energy, subsequently improving their competitiveness and operational prerequisites in international markets. The network will enhance the competitiveness of the companies and operators in the growing but tightening sustainable energy markets.
